Today’s Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke 23 May 2019 written update begins with Rajshri asking Devyani to visit. Then Rajshri and Varsha start talking about the preparations for Mishty’s pre-wedding rituals. She wishes a happy and good married life for Mishty. Meanwhile, Mishty is thinking about Naira’s advice when she asked her if she could ever learn to love Kunal.
The Rajvansh family is busy preparing for the godhana ceremony of Mishty and Kunal. Naanu tells Abir that he should compose a nice, romantic shayari for the ceremony. Abir tries to get out of the situation but everyone starts insisting him and he eventually relents. Naanu silently thinks this is how he will get Abir to admit his feelings for Mishty.
Mishty is all by herself when Varsha comes to her. They talk and Varsha assures her that Mishty will figure out everything eventually.
Later, Kunal phones Mishty to tell her to come meet him tomorrow. He then asks his manager to book an appointment with the doctor. Naanu overhears the conversation.
Next day, Naanu starts pretending having severe pain when he sees Abir. Abir wastes no times in taking him to a doctor. Kunal takes Mishty for her doctor’s appointment to get an eye surgery. Mishty is taken aback on learning about Kunal’s intentions. Naanu and Abir come to the same hospital as Kunal and Mishty.
Kunal tells Mishty he doesn’t like Mishty wearing specs. When Abir hears this, he interrupts Kunal saying Mishty is does not want to do the surgery. Kunal is unhappy with Abir’s presence. Mishty tells Abir that she’ll handle it and it’s not his business. Abir leaves them alone. Naanu goes after him and interrogates about Mishty. He asks him if he has feelings for Mishty. Abir finally admits to him that he is in love with Mishty. When Kunal hears this, he remains shell-shocked.
