Today’s Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke 31 May episode starts with Rajshri asking Mishti if Kunal had asked her anything. Mishti says no. Mishti then asks Kunal about Abir.
Abir is still unsure about whether or not he should express his feelings to Mishti as doing so might hurt Kunal too. He then finds a phone hidden away by Naanu in his bag. Naanu calls him on that phone and Abir receives it. Naanu tells Abir that he is sure Mishti is unhappy with Kunal and that Abir should come back home. He tells him that Kunal and Mishti are not in love and so getting married is not good for either of them. He requests him more asking him to come back for the sake of Kunal. Abir agrees.
The Maheshwari and Rajvansh family gather together to begin with the godhana rituals. Mishti feels uneasy and Kunal notices. Mishti is waiting on Abir so that she can talk to him about Kunal and Shweta’s relationship. She decides that she would not dwell on Kunal’s past instead focusing on the present.
Naman is going to the Maheshwari house. Abir also rushes to go meet Mishti. Naman finally enters the house. Vishambhar sees him and asks why he is here. Naman tells him that he is Mishti’s father so he wants to attend the event. Rajshri is nervous.
Naman then goes to Meenakshi and requests her to let him do the ritual. But Mishti intervenes and stops him from doing so.
Everyone is happy and enjoying when Meenakshi’s accomplice Laxman plans on exposing the truth about Naman. Just then Abir enters the Maheshwari house and Mishti goes to hug him.
