Today’s Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai 3 May episode begins with a leap. A few months later, the story leaps forward with Preeti’s marriage. She is happily married to Soham and settled in Mumbai, the city of her dreams. Naina reads out the letter penned by Preeti to Bela, Anand, Rakesh, Arjun and Sameer.
After knowing that Preeti is enjoying her life in Mumbai, Sameer wishes to visit the city along with Naina. But Rakesh rejects the idea and tells him to start earning before making travel plans.
Rakesh starts advising Sameer to take up a job as an insurance agent, but he doesn’t want to pursue any other career option. He also suggests that the couple should move to Kanpur and work with Arjun’s in-laws. A while later, Arjun doesn’t want Sameer to visit Kanpur because he doesn’t want him to get humiliated like him.
Arjun says that he gets treated like a puppet and gets paid for doing nothing. For the unversed, Arjun gets married to Bina’s niece who hails from an affluent family. He becomes a ‘Ghar Jamai’ and gets ill-treated. After returning to his bungalow, Sameer throws the dresses put on display in his boutique on the floor in a fit of rage. He feels he must shut the boutique and become an insurance agent.
Naina comforts him and assures him that his business will pick up steam soon, but he feels he has not been able to keep Naina his wife happy. Several options cross his mind while thinking of an alternative source of income. He even thinks of moving to Delhi and work with his mother’s company, but Naina feels that wouldn’t be a good idea.
After Sameer goes off to sleep, Naina prays to God and asks for a miracle to happen and God obliges. Next morning, Naina and Sameer receive an unexpected guest. The person is a crew member from director Ananta Mahadevan’s team. He wishes to seek Sameer and Naina’s approval to shoot a swimming pool scene in their bungalow.
