Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain actor Aasif Sheikh talks about his love for theatre

Aasif Sheikh, is a well-known name in the Indian entertainment industry, having essayed a variety of roles in films, theatre and television for more than three decades. From playing the role of Prince Ajay Singh in the popular television serial Hum Log in the early 1990s, he has made appearances in several Hindi films and TV serials, including Yes Boss (from 1999 to 2009) and the sitcom Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain (from 2014 to present).

The actor who plays the role of Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in &TV show spoke about his love for theatre on World Theatre Day. As per reports in IWMBuzz.com, he was quoted saying, “This day is a celebration for those who can see the value and importance of the art form. Theatre helps to promote social discourse, dialogue and potential social change. Theatre is a cultural phenomenon that demands that society examines itself in the mirror. My experience with the art form has truly been a mesmerizing one. While I take pride in the fact that I have stepped foot in both films and television, my roots lie in theatre.”
