As an actor, Radhika Apte is real, and sometimes a little more than that. She seeps into the skin of her roles and doesn’t necessarily leave her actual self out of them. She’s unafraid to improvise and retains her character’s vulnerability, keeping us connected with her story. And this is what she has followed in her theatre performances. Some of her best performances came through Marathi plays like Kanyadaan, Matra Ratra, Poornaviram and Tu. Her role in the English play Bombay Black landed her a Bengali film. She has done some major performances at Bharat Ranga Theatre Festival and various other theatre festivals. She has acted in two British plays ‘Brain Surgeon’ and ‘That time’ as well.
