Tara the social satire play that talks about gender inequality and the dominance of the males over females will be put up in a grand way in Delhi and Mumbai in the month of September.

The play written by Mahesh Dattani will be played on 7 and 8 September in Delhi and on 27 September in Mumbai.

Tara is the story of two conjoined twins, a boy Chandan and a girl, Tara, who are surgically separated in an unequal manner to favour the boy. As a result, the girl is born disabled. The surgical separation was so biased to favour the boy that Tara faced difficulties in survival and eventually lost her battle.

National Awardee Divya Arora will play the role of Tara while Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai fame actor Sachin Khurana will essay the role of Chandan.

The play will also see the presence of veteran actor Sunit Tandon.

The play is directed by Sohaila Kapur.
