Amol Palekar the versatile actor was part of the Marathi theatre growth in his initial days. He worked relentlessly on Marathi theatre along with Satyadev Dubey. Later, he started his own theatre group which was called Aniket.
Amol Palekar got his popularity with the kind of roles he played in the theatre. He was so very natural to watch as a performer. He used to judge the right reactions to scenarios and circumstances placed before him. He has been part of some amazing theatre work like Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe, Hayavadana and Adhe Adhure. He has been part of the group called NCPA (National Centre for the Performing Arts) for many years. Later there was a long phase wherein he was not part of the theatre scenario. But in the year 1994, he returned to theatre after a gap of 25 years with the suspenseful play, Kusur (The Mistake).
His theatre background and acquaintances made him a complete actor and he went on to have a great journey as a performer and even content maker on TV and films.
